Open Ledger Live on macOS Catalina

MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) is the minimum recommended version for running Ledger Live on a macOS desktop or laptop computer. The Catalina update modifies how apps not distributed through the Mac App Store are opened. When opening Ledger Live, the following message will appear: Ledger Live.app can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. 

We are working to make sure this popup message does not appear anymore. Meanwhile, you can continue to safely use Ledger Live by following the instructions below.  

Open Ledger Live

1. Access /Applications in Finder (Menu Bar > Go > Applications, or press ⇧⌘A)
2. Either right-click on Ledger Live.app or hold the control key and click it. Then click Open in the context menu.
3. The same pop-up appears, but you can now click on Open. The app will open normally. You will only need to do this once.
